ビートルズのアウトテイク、セッション音源の最高峰、’85年に発売がリコールされてしまった幻のアルバム「SESSIONS」。これまでアナログLP、CDと数多くのフォーマットで様々な形態でリリースされてきたマニアなら誰もがご存知の超有名盤が、究極のクオリティと内容で再登場です。トラック1〜13に「SESSIONS」アルバムの全13曲をクリスタルクリアーな高音質にて再現。残るトラック14〜25にはボーナストラックとして「SESSIONS」アルバムの関連音源でもあるバレット・テープスよりバリエーションに富んだアウトテイク音源を豊富に追加収録しています。おなじみの音源も今回新たにリマスタリングが施され、本編の13曲と遜色ない高音質で収められています。このボーナス部分で注目されるのはトラック14の REVOLUTION1とトラック20のCOME AND GET ITで、前者はテイク20のリードギターとブラスのオーバーダブなしでフェードアウトの長い初登場モノミックス、後者はやはり初登場のポールとバッドフィンガーのメンバーによるデモテイクを収録しており、どちらも今回が初CD化の音源となります。本作は音源のアップグレードと初CD化トラックを含む充実した内容となっており、マニアから初心者の方まで安心してお薦めできるタイトルです。ジャケも2種類流通している白黒バージョンとカラーバージョンの両方をリバーシブルに収めたタイプとなっています。
